Building a new house begins with designing it. The “Ecohouse” company specializes in designing wooden houses, bath-houses and other types of buildings made of round wood and LVL.
House design is created in cooperation of the architect and the customer. Comfort and beauty are two indispensable features of a house, which are determined by your habits and peculiarities of your daily routine. Perhaps you do not know how your house should look like, or you may know your future house in every detail; in both cases we would be able to reach the desired result together.
5 steps to your new house
Step 1: appointment with an architect. You together with the architect look through designs and photos of houses. Then you discuss your ideas and requirements, in compliance with functional peculiarities of your future house. After this the technical design assignment is made up, the contract is signed, from now on the work on the project is started.
Step 2: choosing the place for the house on the building site. In this stage experts from our company come to the building lot to defining the place for the future house in relations to the lot lines. The high discontinuity and cardinals are taken in consideration during choosing the position of the house. The type of ground coat of the site is of importance while designing the foundation. This is essential for the deciding on the type and the depth of foundation.
Step 3: getting acquainted with the plan. In this stage you get the layout of the house, which includes the pictures of the elevations, sections, foundation plan, roof plan and the explanatory notes. This is first set of documents necessary for receiving the building permission.
The first set of documents includes:
1. The front page.
2. The explanatory notes.
3. Perspectives of 3D building models.
4. Architectural concept.
5. Perspectives of all the elevations.
6. Lay-outs of each store with indication on drawings.
Step 4: the second set of documents contains engineering documentation. The following documents are included into the second set:
1. Architectural documents:
• Common data, guidance on building and construction work
• Foundation (specification, plan, base slab layout, rough draft of foundation elevation)
• Floor plans
• Layout of electrical wiring
• Roofing plan (layout of roof frame, tie beams, axial section)
• Plan of the fence (if there is one)
• Arrangement of floor joints
• Apertures of doors and windows
• Joints of wooden elements (roof ridge, floors, stud walls, etc.)
• Axial plan view
• Stud walls (joints, specification)
• Engineering bill of materials
• Load pattern
2. Engineering documents:
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning plan (HVAC stage)
• Water supply and sewerage plan (water supply and sewerage stage)
• Electric supply plan (electric supply stage)
