Roundwood
Wood is a supple and durable material, which preserves its qualities in variable weather conditions, that turns wood into an ideal building material. The building sector should constantly upgrade because of the elevating material requirements, acceleration of construction pace and extension of the building service life. Nevertheless, solid wood houses are appreciated for their ecological qualities and natural properties, such as creating indoor microclimate.
A roundwood house is the best idea for those who like to be close to the nature. Roundwood logs are very accurately adjusted to each other due to the present-day technologies of wood processing. Moreover, the texture of wood (softwood as well as hardwood) is so special that it can be used instead of artificial interior finishing materials.
Logs are rounded, processed for preservation, designated, and adjusted during manufacturing. An unassembled house is delivered to the building site, and then adjusters assemble the house in accordance with instructions, which is faster than building the same kind of house with brickwork.
Houses made of rounded wood are more preferable not only because of aesthetic characteristics. The little weight of wood allows to build houses without foundation and on soft types of soil. We use wood of high quality from central and northern regions of the country; this kind of wood is not prone to seasonal deformation. Due to the thickness of Belarusian forest some trees are not influenced by wind or weather conditions, this quality protects the trunks of the trees against deformation. The wood gained from those trees is a strong building material suitable for processing.
Logs with diameter 240mm are the most suitable material for Belarusian autumn and winter, during these seasons high humidity and temperature fluctuations remain outside, because of the heat insulating properties of wood.
Roundwood is used as a building material for summer houses, bath-houses and real wooden castles.
